Overview
PT AKR Corporindo Tbk. manufacturing business covers the production of Sorbitol, and starch sweeteners. Sorbitol is a fine chemical processed from starch and is principally used as a low calorie sweetener, as well as a raw material for tooth paste and other food products. In 1995 the Company invested in manufacturing facility in Luizhou China, Khalista (Liuzhou) Chemical Industries Ltd. The company was one of the first Indonesian Companies to invest in the Chinese market. Khalista has wide products range, supplying Sorbitol, Maltitol, Mannitol, and other starch base derivatives to multinational companies as well as major domestic producers of Vitamin C and Oral Care products in China.
Khalista is employing several measures like enhancing its product mix offering value added products to its client base as well as several cost saving measures and restructuring of the organization to improve its cost efficiency.
