AKR represents international basic chemicals manufacturers and acts as principal distributor in Indonesia for companies such as Asahimas Chemicals, Solvay Chemicals, Indobharat Rayon, South Pacific Viscose, as well as a number of soda ash suppliers from China. AKR has more than 2,000 basic chemical customers producing, amongst others, textiles, consumer goods, glass and rayon. The company believes that it has one of the largest market shares in distributing basic chemicals employing its extensive logistics network and integrated supply chain management. In the view of its customers, this is a value added service and a differentiating factor between AKR and its competitors. |

Chemical trading and distribution business is stable and developed. AKR sees basic chemical demand from various industries increasing in line with Indonesia's economic growth and will seek to strengthen its existing relationships with international chemical producers and to intensify marketing efforts for its existing products, as well as to seek opportunities for new relationships with several chemical producers.
