AKR- BP JV continues expansion in retail station BP Brand petrol station opens second sites in Jababeka

Jakarta, December 20th, 2018 – PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (IDX ticker code: AKRA.IJ) today announced that its joint venture with BP (formerly known as British Petroleum) officially opened its second retail fuels site in Jababeka,

Cikarang greater Jakarta area.
The joint venture company, PT Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR), that operates under the name of BP AKR Fuels Retail, under the exclusive agreement, intends to develop and offer a differentiated consumer proposition leveraging BP’s and AKR’s capabilities and expertise across Indonesia’s growing retail market.
Mr. Peter Molloy, President Director of APR said, "We are pleased to announce the opening of the second BP-AKR service station in Jababeka, Cikarang, according to our plan. We aim to provide quality fuel with convenience to customers under BP brand. We look forward to opening more service stations throughout the country and creating thousands of new retail jobs in the process.”
"We are exceptionally proud to open the second site in Indonesia. Earlier, we have opened up the first one in De Latinos 3 weeks ago. We also very proud with the speed we built the site, within 12 months of land prospecting, we have completed the project, starting from land acquisition to the opening of the gas station on the ground,” said Mr. Peter Molloy, President Director of APR.

APR has plans to expand its retail network with plans to open around 350 retail sites in Indonesia over the next decade which is well supported by AKR’s logistics and infrastructure capabilities across the Indonesian Archipelago.
