AKRA Received Award - Top 50 Big Capitalization Public Listed Company with Good Corporate Governance

JAKARTA, December 11, 2018 – PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (IDX ticker code: AKRA.IJ), is happy to announce that the Company has received  an award as Top 50 Big Capitalization Listed Company (PLCs) with Good Corporate Governance in an event  called  The 10th CG Conference & Award 2018, yesterday. 

The Awarding Event was themed “Bringing About CG Changes: Opportunities and Challenges for Directors” and held by Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD), which aims to Internalize Best Practices of Good Corporate Governance in all listed companies in Indonesia. Mr Haryanto Adikoesoemo (President Director) represented the Company to receive the award in a ceremony held at Sasono Mulyo Ballroom, Le Meredien Hotel Jakarta, on December 10, 2018. The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Finance Republic of Indonesia Mrs. Sri Mulyani, Chief Executive of Capital Market Supervision and also a Member of Board of Commissioners of Financial Services Authority (OJK) Mr Ir. Hoesen, MM, winning companies across different industries, top management of other companies and journalists.

Mr. Haryanto Adikoesoemo, President Director, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk., said, “We are very happy to receive this award which shows recognition on our corporate governance.  It has motivated AKRA to enhance the practice of good corporate governance and deliver sustainable value to stakeholders.”

The awards are instituted jointly by IICD and Kontan Media Group, which earlier has conducted assessment on 200 PLCs in Indonesia with regards to the best practice of corporate governance based on CG Scorecard of OECD Principles which include: shareholder rights, equal treatment of shareholders, roles of stakeholders, disclosure and transparency and the Boards responsibilities.
