AKR is highly committed to its Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) programs. The company prioritizes workplace safety and has set guidelines for handling hazardous materials with respect to the safety of the people and the environment.

All the facilities owned by the company, which includes, inter alia, tank terminals, ports, jetty, trucks, and factories, comply with safety standards set by Governmental regulations and international standards. AKR believes that work safety is critical in supporting its operational activities.

Compliance with the Company's work safety standards is compulsory for all of its permanent employees, outsourced contractors, vendors, partners, as well as the Company's visitors and guests. Work safety training for the Company's employees is conducted on a regular basis and in accordance with the industry development in to ensure that they maintain and uphold the level of work safety awareness standards.

 AKR conducts safety system audits periodically to ensure that operational work comply with its safety standard, which is called "Zeros", aiming for Zero Fatalities and Zero Spillage.

Since AKR does not manage, produce waste or chemical in its distribution activities, the company doesn't require complying with Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL). In the event that regulation on the environment is introduced stipulating obligations of an AMDAL that applies to the Company, its subsidiaries or their respective businesses, the Company will seek to fulfill such requirements and comply with the regulations as the case may be.
