JIIPE Received the Award of Best Industrial Special Economic Zone from Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia

JAKARTA, 19 July 2024 – PT AKR Corporindo (IDX stock code: AKRA.IJ) proudly announced that The Special Economic Zone Java Integrated Industrial & Port Estate Gresik (KEK JIIPE Gresik) received award as The Best Industrial Special Economic Zone from Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This award was bestowed on Thursday, 18 July 2024 by The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr.Dr.(HC) Ir. Airlangga Hartarto, MBA, MMT at the Launching of the Geoportal of One Map Policy 2.0 and the OMP Beyond 2024 White Paper at the St. Regis Hotel Jakarta and received by the President Director of PT.Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera- Mr.Bambang Soetiono Soedijanto.

for KEK JIIPE Gresik as the Best Industrial Special Economic Zone 2024

The 2024-2029 elected President RI, General TNI (HOR) (Ret.) H. Prabowo Subianto Djojohadikusumo also attended and gave a speech. "In uncertain geopolitical and geoeconomic conditions also very tough competition among countries, a country that provide certainty and efficiency with best business climate will attract investment", Mr.Prabowo also added "I am optimist, we can achieve 8% economic growth".

The Gresik Special Economic Zone, Java Integrated Industrial & Port Estate (JIIPE) has been designated as a Special Economic Zone in the industrial category through Presidential Decree (PP) No.71 of 2021 concerning the Gresik Special Economic Zone and has received a Decree for full operation on November 8’ 2022. The government through PP 40 of 2021 concerning the Enforcement of Special Economic Zones has also prepared fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, which confirms the government's commitment in supporting the industrial development and investment in the country. Fiscal incentives are detailed in Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 237/PMK.010/2020 concerning Taxation, Customs and Excise Treatment in Special Economic Zones. KEK Gresik, JIIPE has also provided world-class utility facilities needed by industry, as well as a special port and has become an investment destination for many foreign and domestic companies.

President Director of AKRA, Mr. Haryanto Adikoesoemo, gave his statement, "We are very proud and happy to receive the Best Industrial Special Economic Zone award from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This award is a recognition and support from government to KEK JIIPE Gresik.
