JAKARTA, 27 Sept 2019 – PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (IDX ticker code: AKRA.IJ), is proud to announce that PT Jakarta Tank Terminal ("JTT") received the Subroto Award for No Working Hours Loss due to Accidents in category Patra Nirbhaya Adinugraha II, from Ignasius Jonan; the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR). The awarding ceremony was held in the XXI Ballroom building, Djakarta Theater, on September 27’ 2019, and was attended by high-rank officials from the MEMR including the Minister of Mines and Energy 1978-1988, Prof. Subroto whose name was chosen as the award event.
The Subroto Award has been held 3 times since 2017. Mr. Ignasius Jonan awarded the Subroto Award 2019 to stakeholders for their outstanding achievements in advancing the EMR sector.
On a separate occasion, Mr.Lars Schuman; President Director of JTT, expressed happiness as receiving this award, “It is an appreciation of safe and effective tank storage services and solid team work to achieve zero accidents".
Mr. Haryanto Adikoesoemo, President Director of AKRA, also expressed his gratitude and commitment, "Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) with Six Zero Target is the top priority of AKRA and its subsidiaries so that the distributed products can reach consumers safely and effectively ".
Beside JTT, the Subroto Award 2019, was also given to 7 well-known oil and gas exploration companies, including Pertamina, ExxonMobil, Medco, BP Berau Ltd, etc. The Oil and Gas Safety Award Evaluation Team consists of representatives from the Directorate of Oil and Gas Engineering and Environment, the Oil and Gas Inspector and the Independent Team of Oil and Gas Safety Control.
PT Jakarta Tank Terminal is a joint venture between AKRA and Royal Vopak, which focuses on operating an independent petroleum tank storage terminal. Strategically located in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta's main port, JTT serves imports and distribution in the Greater Jakarta area for petroleum products.
Currently, JTT is expanding its capacity of 100,000 cbm, for gasoline, ethanol and biodiesel. This expansion will bring the total JTT tank capacity to be more than 350,000 cbm. This expansion project is expected to be commissioned by Q4 2019.
