AKRA Receives Oil and Gas Safety Award Patra Nirbhaya Pratama

JAKARTA, 24 November 2021 – PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (IDX ticker code: AKRA.IJ) a leading private distributor of petroleum and basic chemicals and logistics & supply chain service provider in Indonesia, received the Oil and Gas Safety Award in the category without losing working hours due to the accident “Patra Nirbhaya Karya Pratama”.

The 2021 Oil and Gas Safety Award Ceremony was held by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Directorate General of Oil and Gas which was broadcast live online on Wednesday 24 November 2021. It was attended by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources – Mr. Arifin Tasrif, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources – Bpk. Ego Syahrial, Director General of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji, and several officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, BPH Migas, and SKK Migas. This event was held as a form of appreciation to 82 oil and gas sub-sector business entities from upstream to downstream for their efforts in maintaining safety and security in their working areas and operations.

The award assessment is measured from the operational effectiveness and efficiency of a business entity that hold on the principles of Safety, Reliability, and Environmentally Friendly, so that achieves oil and gas safety which includes the safety of workers, the public, installations, and the environment.

AKR is respected for not having lost working days due to accidents for 3,237,470 working hours from January 1’ 2018 to April 30’ 2021. In addition to AKR, 2 subsidiaries related to fuel distribution: Jakarta Tank Terminal and BP AKR also received this award.
