The BP AKR Petrol Station has been opened in Gubeng-Surabaya

JAKARTA, May 2nd, 2019 - The BP-AKR JV Company, PT. Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR), continues to expand the retail petroleum business, and now look forward to giving excellent service to customers in Surabaya. PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (IDX ticker code: AKRA.IJ) today announced that its joint venture with BP officially opened the retail petroleum station in Gubeng-Surabaya. Since November 2018 BP AKR have established and launched the new brand of BP petrol stations in Jakarta and Surabaya which offer full service to Indonesian consumer.

BP AKR petrol stations offer 3 grades of gasoline in Indonesia – BP90, BP92 and BP95, each containing BP’s special ACTIVE technology formula. With ongoing use, BP gasolines with ACTIVE technology help protect car and motorcycle engines against the build-up of dirt that can adversely affect engine performance. BP AKR monitor quality from the moment fuel arrives at the terminal to guarantee that quality is maintained until the time gas tank is filled at service stations. BP Branded Service stations will offer a competitive price according to the quality of our fuels and aligned to prices that are competitive in the areas where BP AKR operate.

BP is also partnering with a number of well-known local businesses such as Alfamart, Castrol Bike Point, operated by SiTepat, and Martabak Orins to provide a convenience offer that is unique to the market. In addition, BP has recently joined the Ponta loyalty program, a multi-partner loyalty program where customers can earn and redeem points at various retail outlets.  BP is the latest addition of earning partners in the loyalty program, where customers can earn 100 Ponta points per liter of BP fuel purchased.

Earlier BP AKR has opened 7 petrol stations; in De Latinos-Serpong, Jababeka - Cikarang, Cibubur - East Jakarta, Bintaro -Tangerang Selatan, Mendrisio Paramount - Gading Serpong, Telukjambe – Karawang, and Kota Harapan Indah - Bekasi. Within a short spanning of two years since the signing of JV Agreement on April 5, 2017, BP AKR has established itself as a player in Indonesia. BP and AKR intend to develop and offer a differentiated experience to consumers by leveraging the proven capabilities and expertise of BP and AKR in the fuel retail market in Indonesia.
