Mr. Haryanto receives award as Best CEO in Asia for Investor Relations from Corporate Governance Asia Magazine

On March 30, 2012, at a glittering award ceremony held at Renaissance Hotel, Hong Kong, Mr. Haryanto Adikoesoemo, President Director received the award as the Best CEO in Asia for Investor relations from the Editor of the Corporate Governance Asia Magazine, Hong Kong.

Corporate Governance Asia Magazine presented the 2nd Asian Excellence Recognition Awards recognizing   CEO’s  who have demonstrated  strong leadership in guiding the board of directors and the company management in growing/expanding the business, and at the same time upholding the highest ethics in business practices,  excellence in investor communications, business ethics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental practices and financial performance.  The recognition was conferred by the magazine based on the interviews conducted with investors and responses sought from over 3,000 fund managers in Asia.

Mr. Haryanto on receiving the award said “I thank Corporate Governance Asia Magazine for conferring this prestigious award on me. This award will further motivate us to steer AKR through a period of sustained growth while practicing Good Corporate Governance to protect and enhance shareholder value and improve returns”.

Corporate Governance Asia Editor in his key note speech emphasized that in today’s business environment, investor relations play a crucial role in corporate existence, as IR is instrumental in providing timely updates of the latest information and business development to keep the shareholders informed. These awards are a fundamental part of the mission of the Magazine to enhance the standards of corporate governance in Asia.
