As well as being one of the leading private distributors for fuel and basic chemicals in Indonesia, a number of AKR’s subsidiaries are also engaged in logistics, manufacturing and industrial estate services. In each of the Company’s operational activities, there is the potential for negative impacts on the environment if not mitigated and managed properly. Therefore, we have a high commitment and concern for environmental management.

As part of the Company’s commitment to the environment, AKR strives to create an environment free from air, water, noise pollution and other risks that may arise from the Company’s operational activities. We are also committed to actively participating in addressing the impact of climate change through environmentally friendly operational management, biodiversity conservation, energy, emissions, water and waste management. Currently, AKR has instigated strategies and initiated initiatives to carry out the transition to clean and environmentally friendly energy.

Through AKR’s concrete steps to apply good environmental management, in 2022, 13 operational areas in the Company obtained Blue PROPER. This achievement was based on the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Environment and Forestry Decree No. SK.1299/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/12/2022.
